Mrs. Morton, founded Millennium Health & Fitness, Inc (Native American Woman Owned Small Business) in 1993, possesses more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of business operations and government contracting. Mrs. Morton’s husband John is a retired Major in the USMC and due to this she has been affiliated with supporting the military her entire career.
Within Millennium Health and Fitness, Mrs. Morton is a hands-on executive, involved in every facet of business operations and customer development. Over the course of her career, Mrs. Morton has successfully transitioned and managed hundreds of business contracts.
Additionally, Mrs. Morton is herself a certified Fitness Professional and still conducts group exercise classes within the corporate headquarters and provides fitness lectures/certifications around the world.
Heather has been involved in the fitness and sports industry throughout her life. She received a Division I four-year volleyball scholarship at Western Carolina University where she also received her B.S. in Sport Management, Concentration: Exercise Science and Facility Management. Heather brings exceptional experience in wellness/fitness industry, as well as over 10 years program management and supervisory experience. She has worked directly for the Commander of Navy Installations Command (CNIC), based out of Joint Base Anacostia- Bolling (JBAB), as a Supervisory Fitness Specialist supporting many of the Navy’s top fitness facilities to include all Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii fitness facilities as well as onsite support to many of Naval Base San Diego (NBSD) fitness facilities. Also, during her time with CNIC, Heather worked overseas at Naval Air Station Sigonella (NASSIG), in Italy, where she was the Moral Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Fitness Director.
Heather began working in government contracting in January of 2012 supporting an existing contract that Millennium still holds to this day. She has supported Millennium in a variety of different roles from Wellness Fitness Coordinator, Operations Manager, Account Executive, Program Manger and most recently as the Chief Operations Officer.
She maintains her certifications through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), serves as a subject matter expert for NAFTA, and is American Red Cross certified in CPR/AED and first aid.
Ms. Tessie Morton serves as the Project Director for the Civian Health Promotion Services contract. Overseeing a variety of agreements ranging from dues, collections, fitness centers, to group exercise programs and managing fitness centers. Yep, the last name looks familiar! Tessie is the oldest daughter to Mrs. Morton. Tessie started with the company when she was about 12 years old folding flyers. Thus, she pretty much knows the business from its very beginnings! She is responsible for carrying out program development, organizing, negotiations, communication, organizational leadership and management of the financial budgeting for several sites.
Angela has over 25 years of business experience with international corporations, small and medium enterprises, and entrepreneurs. She is passionate about living a life of purpose, meaning and success. Drawing upon her personal experience, knowledge and expertise, Angela delivers practical yet dynamic leadership development to audiences around the world.
Before returning home to the mountains of North Carolina, Angela worked for Procter & Gamble where she held a variety of positions in manufacturing operations, business leadership, organizational development, and human resources. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Angela has excellent problem solving and business skills. A dedicated wife, mother and daughter, Angela loves hiking the mountains of WNC and feels most successful when helping others discover their own success.

Teresa’s exceptional track record as a project manager has been proven by her ability to solve complex problems while remaining, focused and flexible. Highly motivated always utilizing a solution based attitude in high-pressure environments.
Teresa is a highly skilled physical fitness professional with over 30 years of experience. She is a certified Master Fitness Trainer for the U.S. Army, a certified Exercise Professional and a National Presenter for the National Aerobic and Fitness Trainers Association (NAFTA), Millennium’s sister company. Over the past 15 years, she has trained exercise professionals all over the world.
Teresa is a proud military spouse, married to a military veteran who retired from the U.S. Air Force after 30 years of service.
Zac has been with Millennium for over a year now. He started out as the executive assistant to the CEO Sherry Morton. He was promoted to Media Coordinator for his experience in photo editing, video editing, animation and web development. Throughout his time here he has had the advantage of working on various projects in different aspects of the company. This greatly expanded his experience and knowledge of corporate work life.
Kathleen currently serves as Operations Manager for Millennium Health and Fitness. She has been in the health and fitness industry for over 30 years serving in various roles. Her career began as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist providing exercise prescription for general population which led her to the lead position at the Amelia Island Plantation. While at the AI Plantation, she trained professional tennis and golf athletes, as well as specialized in pre- and post rehabilitation exercise and geriatrics. Kathleen also has an exceptional management background having managed several exclusive health clubs in the metropolitan DC region. She also has extensive program management leadership in federal program management of health and wellness services. Her ability to enhance existing relationships and establish connections with senior executives and key stakeholders led her to a federal position leading business development for clinical occupational health services. In addition to her current role with Millennium, she provides private cancer exercise training, personal training, and instructs Exos SpeedoFit classes.
Valerie is a past Human Resources professional with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development and a master's degree in Organizational Change and Development. She brings over 20 years of combined skills from various industries to the table. This allows her to keep her calm when dealing with the diverse spectrum of clients from the general public to elite level athletes to insure the delivering effective and engaging conversation in solutions to problems that may arise in both in group and individual settings.
Valerie has a passion for organizational growth and business development, especially with small companies that want to grow and large companies that want to make a difference.
Air Force (AF) Civilian Health Promotion Services (CHPS) Program Manager, providing oversight of multiple health and wellness programs and staff and liaison to program customer. Michele was previously the Health Promotion Coordinator for CHPS on Robins AFB for five years and the Training Coordinator for all CHPS locations AF wide for two and a half years. CHPS is a mobile worksite wellness program providing free resources to help the civilian workforce to maintain and improve their health and well-being through delivering onsite and virtual services.
Michele obtained her bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems and master’s degree in Human Services Counseling: Health and Wellness Department of Counseling. She holds certificates as a nutrition specialist, financial planner, physical therapy aide and in project management.
Sierra Rankin understands that health is not just physical, it is rather composed of several factors including social, financials, and mental health. Sierra great passion is working in health education and healthcare field where she brings 10+ years of experience. Sierra has had great success with health education forging and growing several dynamic programs with partners across the campus while on the staff at The University of Cincinnati, which Sierra happens to be a proud double alumna completing her bachelor’s and Master’s in Health Education, Public and Community Health. She is also a certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), and Adult Mental Health First Aid, Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Mental Health Gatekeeping.
Implementing and managing health education strategies, interventions and programs that can serve to help support individuals as they work to create and maintain a healthy lifestyle is what Sierra is more than ready willing and able to do.
Sierra is from Cincinnati, OH and is the proud mother of two young sons.
As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Cooper Trained Health Coach, and AFAA group exercise instructor, Melita Jovel originally started at MHF as a Specialty Class Instructor, eventually coming on board full-time as a Wellness Fitness Specialist. She then went on to work as a Health Promotion Coordinator under the VA WIN program, managing health promotion programs at several VA sites around the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. She eventually found her way back to working closely with fitness centers again as an Operations Manager overseeing 15 government sites nationwide. After a brief work hiatus following the birth of her son, Melita is excited to return to her role with MEI as an Operations Manager for DoD wellness and fitness contracts.
Ms. Hinton has worked with Millennium since 1994 and really has been in fitness centers since she was a toddler. Roxie is a true motivator and woman with extreme wealth of knowledge in the fitness field. She is one semester shy of competing her Bachelor's Degree. She is a American Red Cross Faculty Instructor, holds numerous fitness certifications and is assisting in developing a program for Wounded Warriors. Roxie oversees several contracts in the DC Metro Area.
