Breath of Fire Breathing THURS. 6:00PM ET/ 5:00PM CT/ 4:00PM MT/ 3:00PM PT

This class combines traditional yoga practice with breathwork and meditation.
Breath of Fire and Alternate Nostril breathing combine as the perfect pair for those who experience concern about their lungs before, during or after infection with Covid-19.
Breath of Fire is a kriya (or lung cleansing exercise) that involves rapid/forceful expelling the breath out through the nostrils, which reduces CO2 levels in the blood and increases O2 availability – creating a “total cleansing of the lungs” – which can be a non-pharmaceutical preventative measure for viruses that affect the lungs. This practice also strengthens and tones the abdominal muscles, supports weight loss & improves digestion.

Alternate nostril breathing is a balancing exercise for the brain and nervous system. This practice balances the right & left hemispheres of the brain, the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system – and thus it improves concentration and relieves mental and physical stress.

Yoga Nidra WEDS. 8:00PM ET/7:00PM CT/6:00PM MT/5:00PM PT

This is a practice based on the ancient tradition of Yoga Nidra and adapted to suit the conditions of modern life. When practiced regularly – little and often -Yoga Nidra enables you to meet each moment of your life with unshakable peace and wellbeing, no matter how challenging or difficult your situation. The goal is to move into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. This state involves moving from consciousness while awake to dreaming and then to not-dreaming while remaining awake — going past the unconscious to the conscious. Yoga Nidra is simple to learn and easy to practice. It can be practiced by anyone, regardless of physical ability or experience.
