Pilates is a method of exercise that consists of low-impact flexibility and muscular strength and endurance movements. Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance.

  • Camera On Policy: 🎥 We require all students to have their camera ON for the duration of class. This is for a few reasons: for your safety, for the teacher to be able to teach clearly, and for the integrity of the class. This also ensures that our classes are a safe environment for all students!

About Your Instructor: Roxie Hinton

Roxie grew up in Vicenza, Italy where she started her love for all sports which began at the age of 5 & fitness at the age of 14. She has been teaching fitness for 38 years, personal training for 34 years & American Red Cross Instructor 36 years.

Roxie has been working for MEI, since 1994, and has acquired the following experiences & certifications in her tenure with MEI: Dr Oz Show: Oct 2009 nominated and called by the show to audition. WTOP Radio: On January – February 2010, on New Year’s Resolutions. ACSM Conference: Co Lectured with Sherry K Morton 2014 & Lectured 2015. Les Mills: Body Combat, Body Pump, Body Step, Body Attack, Body Flow, CX Works, ShaBam, and soon Sprint in 2020. Cooper Institute: Personal Trainer & Wellness Coaching. Sara City Fitness: Nutrition Specialist, Pilates, Bootcamp & Yoga Level 1-2-3. Parisi Speed & Conditioning. NAFTA: Biomechanics, Pilates, Step, Functional Fitness & Youth Fitness. American Red Cross Instructor: Lifeguarding, CPR, AED, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, Water Safety & Babysitting. She is a strong believer that fitness should be fun, safe & a part of your everyday life.

During her free time she enjoys spending time with family, her four-legged friends & traveling.
